Davinci Resolve Studio 16 will set you back around $300 with additional features for professionals so if you're not working on your next big blockbuster film you'll find the free version of DaVinci Resolve will be all that you need.

For the bonus programs first, of which is  Blender, it's a free and open-source 3d computer graphics toolset that's been used in the creation of video games, animated films, motion graphics and a whole lot more it includes a large set of tools for 3d modeling, digital sculpting, animation and has a basic video editor built-in.

To say that blender has a high learning curve would be an understatement thankfully tutorials are provided on their website to help you get familiar with it.Blender is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.

Next is VirtualBox it's free and open-source program lets you install and run other operating systems on your computer in a guest virtual machine, it's a great way to try out other operating systems it's available to download on all the major operating systems if you're installing VirtualBox on an older computer you may need to enable virtualization in your BIOS.
