To easily import your vaccination pass into Apple Wallet ( Maps in French), you will need, first and foremost, your vaccination certificate. You can download it from Ameli or, if you have it in hard copy, just put it in front of you (a photo of the QR Code can also suffice). Note that a recovery certificate can also work if you have recently contracted Covid.

Once you have the document, here is the procedure to follow:

  • Go to the CovidPass site from Safari.
  • Choose Start Camera or Select File.
    • The first option is useful if you have a paper document at hand. The second is if you have a PDF version or a photo stored on your iPhone.

    • If you opt for the digitized version, take a screenshot of the European QR Code present on the PDF (top right). By sending the generated image rather than the complete PDF, you reduce the risk of errors.
  • The second step is more fun, it allows you to customize the display of your vaccination pass. Choose a color that will serve as your background.

Once your QR code has been scanned or uploaded, check the I accept the privacy policy box.

  • Finally, click Add to Maps.

  • The Apple Wallet app should then show up. Tap Add in the top right. You can then add the QR Code to your iPhone. (Bonus: the QR Code will also be available on your Apple Watch).

You will now find your vaccination pass in Wallet, under any payment cards you have already added. You will even be able to find it from your lock screen, by double-clicking the side button of your iPhone (or the home button on older iPhones).

By default, the vaccination pass is accessible without a code. If this bothers you, you can deactivate this possibility in your iPhone settings (go to Settings, then Face ID and passcode and deactivate access in the locked mode of the Maps module ).
