Specifically, the new version of the firmware for Nikon Z 7II/Z 6II cameras will provide enhanced autofocus performance , including faster autofocus when shooting in low-light environments. In addition, by improving the detection performance when shooting scenes that are difficult to detect faces and eyes , the usability of autofocus when using an external flash is enhanced, and the visibility of the subject during live view shooting is improved. In addition, the tracking frame for face and eye detection and the subject tracking autofocus performance have been improved, so that smoother and more stable shooting can be achieved.

In addition, the new firmware of Nikon Z 7, Z 6, Z 50 will add a " save focus position " option, which allows the current focus position to be saved when the camera is turned off, and the focus position will be restored the next time the camera is turned on. The new firmware of Z 6 will also add voice memo system/playback function, which is also applied in Nikon D6 full-frame SLR.

IT Home understands that, in addition, Z 5 firmware version 1.10 provides faster autofocus detection speed in low light shooting conditions when shooting in "low light AF" mode, thereby improving usability. After the firmware upgrade, the Z 5 will also provide a "save focus position" option. In the future firmware update, it is also planned to add voice memo system/playback function to Z 6II .
